AU Shippin' Out January 14-January 18: Endless Ocean

Don't forget to breathe!

Anyone who has been scuba diving can attest that it's unlike anything they've done before. Endless Ocean aims to re-create the experience on the Nintendo Wii. Players are enlisted by the Pelago Commonwealth to help the Manoa Lai Oceanic Research Society, which is in search of sea life and treasure. The game features a variety of underwater fauna to catalogue, including whale sharks, stingrays, and a variety of tropical fish. For those not interested in wading in alone, Endless Ocean accommodates online play via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Endless Ocean drops anchor in Australia on January 17.

Sight Training: Enjoy Exercising and Relaxing Your Eyes is the latest game from Nintendo to fall under the Touch Generation! brand. Just as Brain Training had players pushing their melons to the limits, Sight Training: Enjoy Exercising and Relaxing Your Eyes has you moving your pupils (and the stylus) through a variety of minigames to improve vision. Before starting, though, players' eyes are put through a series of tests, which determines eye age. The more often the game is played, the younger players' eyes become--in theory, at least. Sight Training: Enjoy Exercising and Relaxing Your Eyes will be available this Thursday.

This week's new releases are listed below (list taken from retailer and publisher information--actual dates may vary).

January 17, 2008
Sight Training: Enjoy Exercising and Relaxing Your Eyes (DS)
Endless Ocean (Wii)

January 18, 2008
Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition (PC)
