AU Shippin' Out August 28-August 31: Boogie and Surf's Up

Karaoke makes its way to the Wii.

EA's new rhythm game, Boogie for the Nintendo Wii, comes out this week in Australia, and ships as a bundle with one wired Logitech microphone. Boogie mixes karaoke with dancing by letting users wave the Wii Remote around, which in turn makes the character onscreen dance to the corresponding movement. It comes with 38 cover songs--not the originals--from all musical eras. Some of the tracks included are "Love Shack," "One More Time," "ABC," "Fergalicious," and "U Can't Touch This."

This week sees the release of another children's movie tie-in game, Surf's Up. Unlike most movie tie-in games, which turn out to be platformers, Surf's Up puts you in control of one of the surfing penguins from the film. Aside from the Championship mode, the game sports a basic multiplayer mode and side game called Leaf Sliding. Surf's Up comes out this Thursday.
