The Nintendo DS takes the lead this week with the Australian release of The World Ends With You by Square Enix and Jupiter--the team behind Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. In case the fact that it's a Square Enix game didn't give it away, The World Ends With You is a role-playing game that features real-time combat. The character you're using is displayed on the bottom screen, while the non-player character is on the top LCD. Normally, you control one character at a time, but if you want to, you can try moving them both around at the same time. The World Ends With You comes out on Thursday for the Nintendo DS.

Other notable games coming out this week include Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock for PCs, and UEFA EURO 2008 on more platforms than you could poke a stick at.
