AU Shippin' Out April 12-16: Splinter Cell: Conviction
After four years in development, Ubisoft's spy thriller is finally ready for release.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is hitting Aussie stores this week, with ex-NSA agent Sam Fisher going rogue and attempting to track down those responsible for his daughter's murder. Despite not having any US government toys at his disposal, Sam brings a nifty new move to the table called mark and execute, which will help players quickly eliminate enemies with ease. Multiplayer makes a return, featuring both competitive and cooperative play modes online. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is due for parole this Thursday around Australia for the Xbox 360, with a PC version to follow later in the month and a Nintendo DS iteration later this year.
Exclusivity is a loose term these days, so it wasn't too surprising when the two formerly Xbox 360-only downloadable packs for Grand Theft Auto IV--The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and Damned--went the way of the PlayStation 3 and PC. The two episodes tell two different stories of what's going on in Liberty City, focusing on the Lost biker gang and the nightclub baron Gay Tony. PlayStation 3 and PC owners can pick up Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City when it arrives in stores on Friday.
