Acclaim will be debuting ATV Quad Power Racing 3, the third installment in its ATV racing franchise, which is currently in development at Acclaim's Manchester studio, at this year's E3. Though it won't be straying dramatically from the core elements found in the first two games, it will include some appreciable new features.

As has been the case thus far in the series, the main focus in ATV Quad Power Racing 3 will be on straightforward racing action, though it will also feature a freestyle trick system. New to ATV Quad Power Racing 3 is a trick editing system that will let you create your own custom tricks. You'll have a grand total of 25 different ATVs at your disposal, and you'll be able to customize components on your ride as you progress through the game.

You can expect a variety of tracks to actually race your ATV on, including groomed speed tracks as well as earthier backwoods tracks. The gameplay modes to be included sound fairly standard and will include single race, freestyle, championship, arcade, time trial, and multiplayer modes. ATV Quad Power Racing 3 will introduce online competitive play for up to six players, a first for the franchise. You can also expect the game to feature a soundtrack populated by licensed music from popular artists, though the specific artists are yet unknown.

Based on what we know at this point, ATV Quad Power Racing 3 sounds like it will provide an enhanced experience over its predecessors, though, of course, we'll be able to provide you with a more comprehensive look at the game once we actually get our hands on it. If arcade-style off-road racing is your cup of tea, stay tuned, and we'll have more details on this game as they become available.
