It appears cameras have started rolling on the much-anticipated third season of Atlanta. Series creator and star Donald Glover released an image on Instagram that seems to confirm as much. None of this is a surprise given it was previously reported that filming would begin in early April.

Via EW, Glover posted a photo of himself alongside co-stars LaKeith Stanfield, Zazie Beetz, and Brian Tyree Henry with the caption "'Day 0" S3 ATL.'" It's rumored that Season 3 will shoot in Europe, which makes sense given how things wrapped up in Season 2.

Glover previously told fans that the wait will be worth it. Season 3 and 4 "are going to be some of the best television ever made. Sopranos only ones who can touch us," Glover said.

Season 4 will film back-to-back with Season 3. While production may have started on Atlanta Season 3, there is no word yet on when the season will premiere.

Glover is staying busy, as it was recently announced that he will team up with Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge for an upcoming 2022 Amazon series that will serve as a re-make and re-imagining of the 2005 Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie film Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Glover recently left his FX deal to sign a new one with Amazon that sees the actor get paid $10 million or more to develop new programming for the company.
