Atari has today announced that it will release a humorous medieval strategy and role-playing game from Reality Pump Studios in September. The game, which to date has been known as KnightShift, will be published as Once Upon A Knight in North America.

"We are excited to be adding this unique title to Atari's catalog of quality fantasy products," said Nancy MacIntyre, vice president of marketing for Atari's Beverly studio. "Fans of both RTS and RPG games will find Once Upon A Knight's style and personality refreshing and rewarding due to its wonderful blend of intense action, exciting adventure, and incredible graphics."

Once Upon A Knight is set in a fairy-tale world with a milk-based economy and armies that contain broom-riding witches and rolling-pin-wielding mother-in-law units, as well as conventional soldiers.
