AT&T to host World of Warcraft

Telecommunications company will provide enhanced storage, bandwidth, and load-balancing for Blizzard's game.

Blizzard today announced that AT&T will supply secure hosting services for the launch of the highly anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft. AT&T's services include load-balancing capabilities and enhanced storage space and bandwidth for the game. The services will be provided though the company's Internet Data Centers in California and Virginia. AT&T is currently hosting the North American portion of the game's beta test as well as Blizzard's Battle.net online game service. No release date has been announced for World of Warcraft.
