Assassin's Creed Valhalla trailers have mostly focused on its new Viking setting, with only faint glimmers of the underlying Assassin / Templar feud. But the latest story trailer for Ubisoft's open-world adventure starts bringing into focus the true nature of the invasion of England.

The trailer centers on protagonist Eivor (portrayed in the trailer as male, though players will be able to select a female Eivor for their playthrough) and Sigurd, with the latter acting as a key figure that introduces the idea of pushing into England. Sigurd also seemingly brings along members of the Assassin Order, who suggest that there's more to be found in England than just a new home

Now Playing: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla - Official Story Trailer

The trailer sets the tone for the conflict the game will host, but also gives you a great look at some of the picturesque areas you will explore. That includes kingdoms ruled by King Alfred of Wessex and the sons of Ragnar Lothbrok. Each of these areas look to have their own distinct styling according to their rule, which should make for varied exploration around the map.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is launching on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on November 10. It will also launch on PS4 on the same day, while the PS5 version will accompany the launch of the console on November 12. Ubisoft will support Smart Delivery on Xbox (meaning you can upgrade your copy to the next-gen one for free and transfer your saves), while also offering a free upgrade from PS4 to PS5.
