Assassin's Creed Valhalla Guide: How To Unseal The Well Of Urdr For The "Well-Traveled" Quest

Well well well. A certain quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla has you connect light beams to open the way, but the way to open the Well of Urdr is obscured by a dark cave.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla connects the Viking age to the deep Assassin's Creed lore, which means there are plenty of secrets to uncover. One such mystery is the pathway to the Well of Urdr in Asgard, as part of the Well-Traveled quest. The way is blocked by gates that respond to beams of light, and you know what that means: it's time for a mirror puzzle.

As you may expect if you've encountered mirror puzzles in other games, the goal is simply to position the beam of light towards a node that will unlock the gates. As the puzzles get trickier, you'll need to split or reflect the beams to make them hit more than one target. What makes the Well of Urdr puzzle especially tricky is that the cave is very dark, so you won't necessarily be able to see the entire solution clearly. That means you'll have to use some more trial and error to get the positioning right--but knowing where to look should help.

The first light beam is easy, since it simply introduces you to the concept. When you progress to the second part of the puzzle, aim the light source upward, toward the back of the room between the two large trees. That reflector will split the beam into two separate beams running in opposite directions.

From there, it's just a matter of connecting those two beams to their closest neighbors until they reach the final node. For one beam, that means aiming downward to the ground level and then over to the nearest node. For the other, it means wrapping the beams around a series of platforms to reach the ground level.

Once you've connected all the nodes have connected, you can jump in to collect the water. And that's all there is to it!
