Assassin's Creed Nexus VR Will Feature 3 Playable Protagonists From The Franchise
The Assassin's Creed game takes you into the past like never before.
Assassin's Creed Nexus VR--Ubisoft's long-in-development game for Meta Quest--was fully revealed during the Ubisoft Forward presentation on June 12. The game will feature three playable protagonists: Ezio, Conner, and Kassandra.
In the trailer, we see a few scripted gameplay moments, including Kassandra using her bow to take out some guards and Ezio leaping down to perform the franchise's trademark aerial assassination. "Nexus features a wide variety of historically-accurate open maps with 360-degree navigation," the game's website reads. "Climb and parkour everywhere as you choose how to achieve your objectives."

In this new Assassin's Creed game, you play as a member of the modern-day Assassins. "Abstergo Industries has found a way to retrieve powerful lost artifacts that can be used to manipulate people's beliefs," the game's website reads. "To sabotage their plan, you'll uncover all-new stories and accomplish new missions as legendary Assassins."
Assassin's Creed Nexus VR is scheduled to launch this holiday season, and it's among the highest-profile games in the works for Quest. The game was announced alongside a Splinter Cell VR game back in 2020, but the latter game was later canceled.
