Headlining the charge in this week's releases is Batman: Arkham City for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which is coming out this Wednesday. The game continues the events from 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum and takes place in North Gotham. The game has been critically praised for its atmospheric gameworld, satisfying combat, and sticking true to the comic's mythos. For more on this, check out GameSpot's review of the game.

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure was released on the weekend for all major platforms. The game lets players use specially made miniature Skylander toys on top of a toy-scanning adapter and use them in game. Each miniature acts as a personalized memory card for the title since players can save a character's stat and powers onto it, as well as use it in another person's copy of the game. The game also features downloadable content in the form of toys, which includes new areas and new in-game challenges.

Lastly, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is making its way onto PS3s tomorrow. This 3D platformer is the latest in the Ratchet & Clank franchise and features four-player co-op in its campaign mode, drop-in/drop-out local and online support, and new weapons and platforming segments.
