Asia Shippin' Out: February 6-12

Nintendo's mascot engages in sports with friends, while open-world racing fans burn rubber in this week's other major release.

With Dead Space 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops' DLC occupying gamers' time, this month is filled with quality electronic splendor. This week is certainly no exception, because Mario Sports Mix hits the Wii. Gamers take control of their favorite Nintendo mascot and his Mushroom Kingdom friends and enemies in four different sports: volleyball, dodgeball, basketball, and hockey. If the old Nintendo sports games are any indication of what to expect, players are in for arcade-style action and power-ups to help give them a court advantage.

Racing onto shelves this Friday is Atari's Test Drive Unlimited 2. Players will get the chance to motor across courses in Hawaii in souped-up cars and build online friend networks via the in-game clubhouse system. Luxury cars like the Alfa Romeo MiTO Quadrifoglio Verde and the Audi R8 Spyder await patient gamers willing to unlock the game's open-world secrets and activities.

From the makers of the Dynasty Warriors series is the English version of Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll. Players will take on the role of three heroes of differing stats and fighting styles and switch between them while ravaging through the horde of fantasy enemies in the world of Zill O'll. Fans of the Dynasty Warriors series will feel right at home with Trinity, as it employs a similar battle system. The English version of this hack-and-slasher will be out on shelves this Wednesday.

Finally, we have the classic trivia game You Don't Know Jack making a comeback on all the major console platforms. Next to the unusually phrased questions that hit topics like geography and science, the game will provide players with ample references to pop culture and drugs.
