Asheron's Call Dark Majesty ousts Camelot

Microsoft's stand-alone online role-playing game expansion takes the lead in NPD's latest weekly list of best-selling games.

Asheron's Call Dark Majesty, Microsoft's stand-alone online role-playing game expansion, took the lead in NPD Intelect's latest list of best-selling games. The $20 expansion includes the full version of the massively multiplayer game Asheron's Call, as well as a number of new features, including housing, storage, and the new land of Marae Lassel, which features new quests, dungeons, and items.

Command & Conquer Yuri's Revenge, Westwood's latest real-time strategy game expansion, held on to second place, followed by Mythic's online role-playing game Dark Age of Camelot, which slipped to third after enjoying two weeks at number one. The Sims, Electronic Arts' popular virtual-life game, took fourth place, and Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2002 took fifth place. Stronghold, GodGames' castle building and siege warfare game, took sixth place in its first week of release.
