Asheron's Call 2 goes gold

Microsoft has announced that Asheron's Call 2 is complete and will ship to stores on November 22. Asheron's Call 2 is the follow-up to Turbine's 1999 fantasy online role-playing game. The game is the first full sequel to a major online game, and while there are many similarities between the games, Asheron's Call 2 will require the original game's players to create new characters.

Asheron's Call 2 makes many changes to the original game, including the addition of much improved graphics. One of Turbine's central efforts with the new game was to make the Asheron's Call world more dynamic, with monthly story events and regular additions of other new content, as well as environments that change in response to player behavior.

Asheron's Call 2 will have a suggested price of $49.95, and the monthly subscription fee is $12.95. For more details, check out our previous coverage of the game.
