Arush has announced that it has signed a deal to produce games based on the hit Fear Factor reality television series. The games, tentatively titled Fear Factor: Unleashed, will put players in the role of a Fear Factor contestant who has to complete challenges to advance to the next round. The challenges will resemble those from the show and will feature verbal psych-out attempts, gross-out challenges, and death-defying stunts, including some that could never be pulled off in real life.

"Fear Factor is one of those properties that is begging for intensely fun, action-packed video games," said Jim Perkins, president and CEO of Arush Entertainment. "This game will not only be a top-quality playable version of what millions of people watch each week, it will bring hair-raising gameplay to a new level with all the unbelievable stunts you cannot or would not want to tackle on the TV show."

Fear Factor: Unleashed is scheduled for release in 2004.
