Armored Core 2?

It's the closest thing to an add-on pack the PlayStation has yet seen.

The closest thing to an add-on pack the PlayStation has seen - From Software's Armored Core Project Phantasma was released in Japan last week.

Not a full sequel by any stretch of the imagination, this mission-based mech title includes over 15 stages, new parts and weapons, and an arena mode where the player fights his way up the mercenary ranks against a whopping 50 different mechs over 10 arenas - for money and parts.

All battle within the framework and control setup of the original Armored Core. Players are able to transfer over saved mechs from the previous title, although they must be from the Japanese version of the game.

Sony, US publisher of Armored Core, has not yet announced when or if it'll be bringing out the title here in the States.

Look for an import review of this title on VGS soon.
