Grindstone, one of the highlights of Apple Arcade, is coming to Switch. The game was announced during the Nintendo Indie World stream, and this is the first time the game will be available outside of an iOS environment. Grindstone releases for Switch this autumn.

An announcement trailer, which you can watch below, has now been released and showcases what the game looks like running on Switch. It's the same core gameplay and style, but the UI has been reworked to account for the fact that it's now running in widescreen, as opposed to in portrait mode on an iOS device. You can also get a better look at gameplay in the tweet further below.

The game was featured in a sizzle reel of upcoming Switch games rather than receiving its own segment. Other games featured in that portion included Haven, Going Under, The Red Lantern, Unrailed, Struggling, Inmost, She Dreams Elsewhere, and Gonner 2.

The game has received several major updates since its initial launch, including a big April content drop and a more recent Daily Grind update. The Switch version will contain every update released for the Apple version so far.

Grindstone earned strong reviews at launch, and has a Metacritic average score of 90. For more on the game, check out editor Chris Pereira's impressions of the Apple Arcade version.
