Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is projected to earn $120 million over its four-day opening weekend in the US. This would be the largest opening for the franchise so far.

This projection comes from a Deadline report, which cites industry sources. If the prediction is accurate, Quantumania will be the third biggest opening ever on Presidents' Day Weekend, behind Black Panther, at $241.1 million, and Deadpool, at $152.1 million. That would also be the biggest opening for the Ant-Man films generally, as Ant-Man opened at $57.2 million in 2015 and Ant-Man and the Wasp opened at $75.8 million in 2018. For the record, those are all US, not worldwide, figure

The leap in revenue makes sense, as Quantumania is the first Ant-Man movie to act as a tentpole for the MCU, launching the mega film franchise's fifth phase. It will also likely set up villain Kang's, played by Jonathan Majors, franchise star turn in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. He originally appeared in the Disney+ show Loki.

If you want more Ant-Man news ahead of the release date, you can find out everything we know so far about the sequel. It was also recently revealed that David Dastmalchian will return in the film, but not as fan favorite character Kurt. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will release in theaters on February 17.
