Another Beta Announced For 8-Player Naruto Fighting Game Following Widespread Server Issues

Over the past weekend, Bandai Namco gave players a chance to try out the latest Naruto game, Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker. However, many people encountered significant server issues that caused trouble getting into matches and connecting to others. Today, the publisher apologized for the issues and announced that it'll hold another open beta in order for more people to check out the game.

In a statement on Twitter, Bandai Namco explained that the 8-player fighting game's first beta was successful in that it allowed the studio to stress-test the game's servers. However, it turned out that the servers apparently weren't prepared for the number of players attempting to connect to them.

"You experienced long waiting time[s] before matching with other players, and we identified the issues," the publisher explained. "Unfortunately, even with the different maintenances, we haven't been able to fix the issue[s] during the weekend."

As a result, there will be another beta coming up in the future. Bandai Namco didn't announce a date, but it did say that players can expect "a smooth online experience" when attempting to play it.

Shinobi Striker launches this year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It'll let you team up with three others to take on another team of four. You can check out gameplay from the game in the embed above.
