During its E3 2019 presentation, Nintendo announced a title and new release date for its Switch Animal Crossing game. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming next spring, signifying a delay out of 2019. While the presentation covered the basics, Nintendo revealed even more details in its post-show Treehouse livestream.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will feature couch co-op, according to the company. You can share your Joy-Con controllers to play with a friend, letting you gather resources, do chores, and live in the Animal Crossing world together. It supports up to four players locally, and up to eight players online.
In this game you're charged with helping to establish a town from a deserted island. As a result you start out in a tent, but with a little elbow grease you can make it into a bustling burg. Animal Crossing: New Horizons will launch on March 20, 2020--and yes, Isabelle can show up.
Other revelations from the Nintendo Direct presentation included a Banjo-Kazooie joining Super Smash Bros, Luigi's Mansion 3 gameplay details, and a sequel to Breath of the Wild.
