Analyst: Xbox One may have 3x more launch units than PS4

but PS4 was planning for a world wide release, while X1 was just planning 15 countries...

Microsoft shambled out of the darkness, snarling, drooling, and looking for victims, but then Sony rode in on a white horse and chased off the evil monster, saving the day. @Deathstroke_69 @strothers101 solid argument and I couldn't agree more. The innovations Xbox is bringing to the table are substantial to say the least. I really hope that third party devs take the time to utilize things like cloud etc. The worst thing to happen to Xbox was them folding over on their policies because of backlash from four year olds.

Microsofts new strategy is to pick up the stragglers who couldnt reserve a ps4 fast enough.

Xbox One then Xbox Two after the first RRoD, Xbox Three after the 2nd RRoD, Xbox Four after the fourth fail, and so on until it reaches the most units sold in america.

Nintendo's performance has been the weakest of the bunch so far. My problem with Nintendo or more specifically the people running Nintendo right now is the fact that they seem to be stuck in this nostalgic causal rut both hardware and software wise. Nintendo needs to really work hard to turn the image of being just a console maker for causals and little kids around!

I put Microsoft's performance in the middle. My hold outlook on Xbox One changed once Microsoft reversed its always online 24 hour check-in policy which was one of my biggest gripes concerning Xbox One.

Sony has been the strongest of the bunch so far. Their presentation earlier this year with the introduction of the Ps4 was flawless. Sony also made a good showing at E3 this year. No complaints here.

Maybe this means I'll be walking into my local Best Buy and seeing a mountain of Xbones with a salesman trying to get me to buy one. True story with PS3 shortly after launch.

I find this hard to believe. MS has had production issues while Sony has not. Sony has sold more consoles via preorder so far than MS has and both consoles continue to sell. This guy's prediction just makes no logical sense.

I think Microsoft is banking on the theory that a lot of consumers will settle for an Xbox One when PS4's are sold out... and they may be right. Still, this will only provide a very temporary advantage.

I want to change this guy's name to Mycock, Eddie Mycock.

I really want Microsoft to revise their hardware specs or drop the price a tad. Still buying one before a ps4, but a bit more bang for my buck would be nice.

So MS is rushing to get 3x the number of consoles available vs that of the PS4. I wonder what part of the new XBOX will be lighting up red this time?

Xbox one may have more launch consoles than PS4. If Microsoft rushes the construct them before November. But if they do will those consoles sell out at launch. In the U.S.A yes. But elsewhere maybe not so much.
