America's Army: Operations goes gold

The first-person shooter portion of America's Army in now complete.


The US Army announced today that America's Army: Operations has gone gold. Operations is the first-person shooter portion of the America's Army computer game that was developed by the US Army. It is a team-based multiplayer game designed to give players an inside look at the Army's training and weapons. It uses the latest Unreal Engine technology to create realistic environments in which two opposing squads can compete against one another in different types of scenarios.

Players can pick up a free CD of America's Army: Operations at any local recruiting station, ROTC detachment office, or Army event. These events are listed on the America's Army 561551our gamespace , but there has been no word on whether the exclusive levels on the CD will eventually be made available for users who only have the downloadable game.
