Amazon's Wheel Of Time Series Gets New Clip, As Tensions Rise In The Local Pub
Season 1 begins streaming November 19 on Amazon Prime.
Amazon has delivered a new first-look clip from Prime Video's upcoming TV adaptation of The Wheel of Time, an epic adaptation of the fantasy book series. The clip was released as part of New York Comic-Con's festivities and a panel all about the show.
The Wheel of Time is based on the best-selling fantasy novels by Robert Jordan, which sold more than 90 million books. The series spans 14 books--three of which were completed after Jordan's death by Brandon Sanderson. As a testament to how vast the source material is--even though Season 1 has not yet aired--showrunner and executive producer Rafe Judkins (Marvel's Agents of SHIELD) also sharedsome pre-recorded details about what to expect in Season 2. Before we all get ahead of ourselves, though, check out the new clip screened during NYCC below.
The official description for the newly-released clip is as follows: "Rand, Perrin, Egwene and Nynaeve are in the Winespring Inn on a busy night when Moiraine and Lan enter. The crowd quiets as Moiraine asks for supplies and a room. They then begin to whisper after she is recognized as an Aes Sedai by her great serpent ring." You can check out a previously-released trailer here.
Wheel of Time's NYCC panel also revealed new series regulars for the previously announced Season 2: Ceara Coveney as Elayne Trakand, plus Natasha O'Keeffe and Meera Syal in undisclosed roles. Season 1 begins streaming November 19 on Amazon Prime.
