Amazon's Current Anime Sale Has Deals On Evangelion, Attack On Titan, And More

The new Amazon sale discounts Blu-rays for some great anime series.

Amazon Prime Day may have skipped its usual July date this year (it's reportedly been pushed to October), but the mega-retailer has still been ramping up its discounts on games and entertainment recently. Most recently, Amazon launched a Big Summer Sale Event with some great game deals, and the latest sale focuses on anime Blu-rays and box sets for popular series like Evangelion, My Hero Academia, and Attack on Titan.

Notably, the anime sale includes two of the three currently released installments of Rebuild of Evangelion, an ongoing film series that functions as a retelling of the Neon Genesis Evangelion story. Directed by Hideaki Anno, the creator of the original series, the Rebuild films will offer an entirely new ending to the series once the fourth and final film, Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time, eventually releases. Blu-ray versions of parts two and three, Evangelion 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion 3.33: You Can (Not) Redo, are both discounted at Amazon right now. Unfortunately, the first film isn't available to purchase online right now, but if you've seen the original anime (which is on Netflix), you won't miss much from a story perspective. The second and third films are where the Rebuild series starts to diverge significantly.

The sale also includes the complete first and second seasons of Attack on Titan along with the first part (12 episodes) of Season 3. With the fourth and final season planned to start airing this fall, there's no better time to dive into this incredible story. If you're unfamiliar, Attack on Titan is set in a world where humanity has been forced to live inside cities surrounded by gigantic walls to protect themselves from ravenous humanoid Titans that roam the land outside.
