Add Throne and Liberty to Amazon's growing gaming portfolio, which already includes Lost Ark, New World, and the next Tomb Raider title. The company has revealed it's publishing the upcoming MMO from developer NCSoft and will help bring it to North America, South America, Europe, and Japan.

Amazon will also ensure Throne and Liberty launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in those regions with cross-platform support too. For an idea of what's possible in the MMO, NCSoft says players can shapeshift into animals to fly through the skies or go underwater. Environmental effects also have a major role in the title, such as solar eclipses and rainstorms.

"NCSoft has created some of the most popular and longest-running online games in the world, so it's no surprise that Throne and Liberty is among today's most anticipated MMOs," Amazon Games vice president Christoph Hartmann said in a press release. He added that "publishing games that live and grow over time remains a critical piece of our strategy."

Speaking of NCSoft, the company has published and developed games like Lineage, Blade and Soul, and Guild Wars. Meanwhile, Amazon made a splash a couple of months ago when it unveiled publishing plans for the next Tomb Raider from Crystal Dynamics.

Last year also saw Amazon follow a similar approach to this NCSoft partnership by bringing Lost Ark to the West. Be sure to check out GameSpot's Lost Ark review. Looking ahead, no release window was given for Throne and Liberty.
