Earlier in the month Blizzard posted numerous threads in the StarCraft subreddit urging fans to nominate players in several categories for Blizzard's 2013 Community Choice Awards. Today Blizzard announced the winner of the Community Choice Award for World Championship Series Europe's player of the year.
Johan ‘NaNiwa’ Lucchesi beat the likes of DiMAGA, Grubby, MC, MMA, Mvp, TLO, and Welmu for the accolade. The Swedish Protoss, inarguably, was the most consistently high placing foreigner of the year.
