All I have to say is; if EA adds "The Journey", or something similar to NBA Live; I guarantee you that they'll sell more than 8000 copies next year! Can't wait for this mode to come to Madden, NHL, UFC, PGA and maybe Fight Night Legends??? (The Ali story Career and Fantasy mode is due!)

Wishful thinking; I know but keep it up EA!!! Well done!

I hate this company so much. It's a shame they own monopolies on IP's I love. As much as I love Star Wars I will not buy any EA game regardless how good it looks or how tempted I am.

All EA has to do is inject their titles with some depth to make just as much money AND be loved :)

No new Dead Space? Sad.

Avatar image for Spartan-1657

@RabidBurp: I'm with ya on that.

But with EA having the SW license, they'll have Visceral working on SW over Dead Space for sure just from a money-making standpoint alone.

Unfortunate.

Avatar image for consolehaven
ConsoleHaven

@Spartan-1657: Maybe... but if Visceral is hell bent on adult and horror themes, they probably won't get to work on the SW license as it's more of a pg-13 license. Also, you can bet there won't be much freedom there what with two big corporations breathing down your neck.

@consolehaven: Did you see the screenshot of what they're working on? It looked like it'll be open world like GTA but in Star Wars! It's the one I'm most excited for...

Avatar image for consolehaven

@Twiztid-Maddox: I only saw later that visceral WAS working on one. With so many being made EA is sure to have one or two more hits :)

@GMnTraining: Saw it when it was announced. Someone else said the same thing. Looks fantastic, but I'd rather have a new SSX from EA. haha

Sounds like a horrible showing by EA.

Well the whole event was a bit disappointing, we didn't get game play demo of the games just trailer. We want to see how the game playing is on there games. We got lack of Star Wars news but it's just hint of new SW games but I like the Respawn new Star Wars which is a hack and slash game which looks cool. Could it be a Darth Maul reboot game because there rumor making a reboot of a Darth Maul game or could it be a new character but remember.

Story mode on sports games. Really??? I know NBA2K did it & i still think that was stupid. Now a soccer game has to follow suit. We want to just play the game. Not live their life as well.

Avatar image for GMnTraining
GMnTraining

@Henninger: I definitely respect that as your opinion, but I honestly expect the story mode in sports games now. Short of that; they're primarily roster updates.. Very excited for Fifa 17 as my first day one Fifa purchase, and I have almost every game in the series.

That was not very memorable.

Avatar image for deactivated-5afeea4d8be41

Titanfall 2 piqued my interest, couldn't care less about sports games. Battlefield 1 and Mass effect looked good but I don't feel like they showed enough of them. Could have cut all the sports stuff in half to show games that actually vary from entry to entry.

The biggest news is someone mashed up Drake and Leah Remini and put her in Mass Effect

Average at best besides BF1 and possibly Mass Effect Andromeda.

the ea e3 conference was very badly put together they should of annonced that they switched the day its on aswell

Avatar image for skrilla99

Their press conference seemed kind of skimpy this year if you ask me. No big reveals, light on the Mass Effect, light on BF1, plus yearly updates of sports titles. Where's the magic? Where's the new stuff?

Avatar image for Ducez_III
Ducez_III

@skrilla99: EA isn't exactly known for big reveals, magic, and new stuff. EA is known for boring sports segments that last 15 mins. I think they did average.

I have been watching E3 for years and this was by far EA most lack lusting E3 press conference ever, don't get me wrong I liked most of the games they showed it was just boring a badly scripted.

Avatar image for casshan01

Boring as hell!! But what im seriously pissed off at is they STILL havent shown ANYTHING on Mass Effect Andromeda. Last year it was a lame trailer and screen shots. This year was a lame trailer and screen shots. Its like WTF are they doing that they are taking sooooooo long with this game. Next year will be the same (sure it will get delayed), a lame trailer and some "we working on it sketch art".

Avatar image for belz
Belz

@casshan01: you people are pathetic, you either rant because games look rushed or you rant because games are delayed, make up your mind please

Avatar image for camverge
camverge

@belz: I think, if anything the complaints should be; why the hell are you showing things off so early? If you know it's nowhere near release, don't announce it. Just like the Star Wars portion this year. What the hell was that? They basically said "hey, we're working on Star Wars stuff!". No kidding, come back when you have a product ready to be shown.

It's frightening they would do something like that, leads me to believe they really don't have much else going for them and they needed some fillers.

Online
Avatar image for belz
Belz

@camverge: okay maybe you are right about that, but not about delays, FOR ME i prefer games being delayed and coming out GREAT than rushed.

Avatar image for camverge
camverge

@belz: Oh yea, without a doubt. They can delay the game all they need to get it right. Too many of the same people grip about delays as well as rushed games with tons of bugs.

If people can't stand the wait, maybe E3 isn't the best thing for them. Too many games are shown these days that are nowhere near finished. All this does is put pressure on the developers to push the product out faster. Probably doesn't make for a good work environment,

Luckily it was just EA, but kind of annoying to be watching the stream on a bit of a delay and have it suddenly cut out only to then show a live video of a dark room.

I realize it was a live stream, but at a point leave the video up at least until the next event starts, or leave the video up like you do with the Lobby. Don't just take it down less than an hour after it has ended.

There wasn't any news!

No SSX
No Skate 4
No new Mass Effect info
No new Star Wars info

Extremely lackluster... Should have had WAY more Star Wars...
Althought BF1 looks stunning!

EA still giving me no reason to end my boycott of them. They only care about the casual video gamer who likes sports and shooters and isn't here to discuss it on a video games website. It's been that way for years.

Avatar image for skyhighgam3r
SkyHighGam3r

@brian_ghattas: Mass Effect is a good standout from their usual warzone & sportsball nonsense, but even then.. NO new info...

What pisses me off is they ignore some great IPs like SSX and Skate.

lack of comments in all ea articles ......... scrolling through twitter and various ea news tweets have not even broke past 100 (at the time of this writing) I mean namoi kyle pasted a wolf gif and that's over 180 retweets ........ apparently one tweet ea announced a new madden - cheers and excitement - ea announced something about donating money to charity and silence .......

Disappointed on lack of SW info. They are working on like what 4-6 star wars games and not even a trailer for any of them? come on.

Avatar image for skyhighgam3r
SkyHighGam3r

@Acillatem1993: The one little SHRED of info I figured out is that Respawn is making a third person action game for Star Wars, and they are doing Motion Capture for Jedi battles.

God willing we can make our own jedi and dismember enemies. Probably the only part of star wars that was ever cool.

Avatar image for brn-dn

Very awful event. One of the worst, the worst ones are usually at least laughable they aren't this incredibly boring.

The millions of people that buy these sports games aren't watching E3. The people watching E3 are the ones that really want to see games not the same annualized crap.
