Alien Breed 2: Assault, Kung-Fu Live hit PSN

Leading the week for PlayStation 3 releases is Team 17's Alien Breed 2: Assault ($10). A direct sequel to Alien Breed: Impact, the science-fiction top-down arcade shooter puts players into the space boots of a soldier fighting back swarming aliens. The title also boasts a Survivor mode, where players can fight off waves of oncoming enemies either alone or with a friend via online or offline co-op.

Also out now is Kung-Fu Live ($15). From Virtual Air Guitar Company, the title has players channeling their inner Bruce Lee. The game is a full-body motion fighting title that uses the PlayStation Eye to track the movements of players. Kung-Fu Live puts players virtually into the game, where they are tasked with fighting foes of different shapes and sizes.

Also hitting the PS3 download hub was Rockin' Android's Qlione Evolve ($7). The title bundles the original Qlione and its sequel Qlione 2 into one package. As for the title, Evolve puts players into a microbe-eat-microbe world, where gamers will control organisms from a 2D perspective and ultimately evolve and dominate foes.

Switching to the PSP storefront, Sony added six fresh titles this week, the first of which is Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest ($30). The game from Tolkien's lore has players stepping into the boots of Aragorn and trekking through Middle-earth fighting the forces of Sauron.

Also now available on the PSP hub is Tron: Evolution ($30). From Disney Interactive Studios, the portable title drops players into the digital grid of Tron and tasks them with competing to become the Grid Games champion.

The next title to hit the PSP download space is Michael Jackson The Experience ($30). The interactive portable title lets players reproduce many of Jackson's famous moves and performances from his career. A rhythm-matching title, Michael Jackson The Experience has players following along with some of Jackson's most famous songs, including "Billie Jean," "Bad," and "Black or White."

For footie fans, Football Manager Handheld 2011 ($30) is out now. The game puts players in the serious shoes of a football (soccer) manager, tasking them with making numerous decisions related to their squad.

Military enthusiasts can now pick up Military History Commander: Europe at War ($10). The strategy game lets players control the Axis or Allied forces in World War II, managing everything from diplomacy and economics to military action.

The last PSP title arriving this week was NeoGeo Heroes Ultimate Shooting ($20). The arcade-style shoot-'em-up features a cast of 10 classic SNK characters from numerous NeoGeo titles. This is not the first time SNK Playmore has brought its roster of familiar faces to the genre. In September, the company launched KOF Sky Stage on Xbox Live Arcade, a vertically scrolling shoot-'em-up featuring characters from the King of Fighters series.

Music-game fans this week have a plethora of options available to them. The Def Jam Rapstar music library added 10 new tracks from artists like Kanye West, the Wu-Tang Clan, Young Money, and others. For living room rockers, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock added an eclectic mix of '90s tunes to its library. Finally, Rock Band 3 welcomes 13 Queen songs to its growing library.
