Developer Airship Syndicate revealed its latest project, Wayfinder, during The Game Awards on December 8. The online action-RPG doesn't have a release date just yet, but it's coming to Steam, PS4, and PS5 with an available closed beta available for sign up right now.

Wayfinder is the fourth project from Airship Syndicate, a studio that was founded by former Vigil Games developers who had worked on the Darksiders series. Since its inception, Airship Syndicate has developed Battle Chasers: Nightwar, the spin-off Darksiders Genesis, and the RPG Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.

In Wayfinder, The World of Evenor is shattered and players are tasked with harnessing the power of a Wayfinder to "Control the Chaos" that has overrun the world. Alongside a customizable experience, the title features fast-paced action gameplay and allows cooperative play with friends.

While on hunts and expeditions into the Gloom, players will discover new locations, beasts, and materials that can be used for crafting weapons and gear to awaken new Wayfinders. From the debut gameplay trailer, it looks like there will be a variety of weapons to choose from, each with its own skill level and unique features.

During this year's Game Awards showcase, plenty of games were revealed including a Death Stranding sequel, Hades 2, and more.
