Age of Mythology chat on Monday

Microsoft has announced that it will host an online chat with Ensemble's Bruce Shelley about Age of Mythology, its upcoming 3D real-time strategy game. The chat will be held on Monday, January 28 from 6-7pm PT in Microsoft's Zone Theater chat room.

Shelley is best known for creating the popular Age of Empires real-time strategy game series and for founding Ensemble Studios. Prior to founding the studio, he worked with Sid Meier on the design of the original editions of Railroad Tycoon and Civilization.

Age of Mythology is set in a world where gods and mythological creatures take part in the struggle between the three playable civilizations--the Norse, the ancient Greeks, and the Egyptians. It is built on an advanced 3D engine that supports special effects such as fluid ocean waves, waterspouts, lava, tornadoes, earthquakes, and smoke. The game is scheduled for release this fall.
