In March, Fox halted production on Maze Runner: The Death Cure after 24-year-old star Dylan O'Brien was hit by a car and sustained significant injuries. TMZ reported that O'Brien sustained "severe" injuries after "something went wrong" and he was run over by a car.

He reportedly suffered multiple broken bones. In April, Fox suspended production of the movie indefinitely, and now, we've learned that the movie is being delayed to 2018.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Death Cure is now due to launch on January 12, 2018. Its previous release date was February 17, 2017--that's about an 11-month month delay.

Production on the movie has not started up again and there is no word yet on when it will. It is also unknown how far along O'Brien is into his recovery.
