After 5 Years, Call of Duty's Xbox Timed-Exclusivity Ends in September
PC and PlayStation players get four new maps and the Exo Zombies conclusion.
The fourth and final DLC pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Reckoning, arrives on PS3, PS4, and PC on September 3, it was announced today. With Sony and Activision's new exclusivity deal going into effect with Black Ops III, this marks the final time--at least for the foreseeable future--that Call of Duty DLC will come to PlayStation platforms after Xbox.
Reckoning consists of four new multiplayer maps: Overload, Quarantine, Fracture, and Swarm. They offer a mix of small-to-medium and large-scale action, and all four allow for the campaign's grappling ability to be used in the Exo Grapple playlist.

The game's Exo Zombies mode also comes to an end with the new Descent chapter. This includes a new area to explore, a new weapon (the Trident reflected energy weapon), and a conclusion to the story for the characters played by Bruce Campbell, John Malkovich, and company.
Like past DLC packs, Reckoning is priced at $15, or is included with the game's $50 season pass.
As noted above, this marks the end of Microsoft's long-running timed-exclusivity deal that has seen Call of Duty DLC released early on Xbox 360 and Xbox One since 2010's Black Ops. This will instead be the case for PlayStation platforms moving forward, beginning with Black Ops III, which launches on November 6.
