The Forbidden Door has come to WWE as former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho will make an appearance as the next guest on Stone Cold Steve Austin's podcast after Wrestlemania. The episode will air on Sunday, April 11 on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network everywhere else.

For most of its history, WWE doesn't really acknowledge competition in a post-WCW world. Jericho being a major star and cornerstone of AEW, which is the second biggest American wrestling company, is a huge deal. Even with this decades-long career with WWE, something like this has never been done before. Back when Austin was doing his podcast outside of WWE, he brought in stars like Adam Cole when he was still in Ring of Honor, but underneath this corporate structure, this is truly a first of its kind.

Jericho left WWE in 2018 to wrestle sporadically for New Japan Pro Wrestling, even taking on Kenny Omega at WrestleKingdom that year for the IWGP United States Championship. He would later be involved with some of New Japan's big guns like Tetsuya Naito, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Kazuchika Okada.

When AEW was initially announced in 2019, he was the first major star signed outside of the Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, and Hangman Adam Page. He would later become the first AEW World Champion.

Previous guests on Broken Skull Sessions have included the Undertaker, Randy Orton, Sasha Banks, Goldberg, and Bayley. The show has produced new episodes monthly on WWE Network since 2019.
