Adam Driver Trades In Kylo Ren's Ship For Fast Cars In Ferrari Trailer

Another Entourage fake film becomes real, this time from Heat director Michael Mann.

The year of the historical biopic continues with Ferrari, helmed by Heat and Miami Vice director Michael Mann. Star Wars sequel trilogy actor Adam Driver will star in the titular role, which fictional character Vincent Chase also portrayed in HBO's Entourage. In fact, this is one of a handful of fake films that has become real from the show, like Aquaman.

The first trailer for Ferrari (seen below) is a serious affair, however. The footage features almost no dialogue--focusing instead on the soundtrack and car engines revving--until the very end. At that point, Driver's Enzo Ferrari is seen saying, "If you get into one of my cars, you get in to win."

Driver is joined by Penélope Cruz (portraying Laura Ferrari), Shailene Woodley (playing Lina Lardi), Gabriel Leone (playing Alfonso de Portago), and Grey's Anatomy's Patrick Dempsey. Ferrari takes place at a tumultuous time for Enzo during the summer of 1957. The film's official synopsis says he's in a "volatile marriage" with Laura and "struggles to acknowledge his son" with Lina. This is all compounded by the fact he's focused on a 1,000-mile race called the Mille Miglia.

Neon is distributing Ferrari, which will premiere in theaters this Christmas, December 25. It will be Mann's first film since 2015's Blackhat. Look ahead, he discussed turning the Heat 2 book into a movie last year.
