The game is based on the original Commander Keen series for the PC and follows 8-year-old superhero Billy Blaze on his quest to save the cosmos. The game is a side-scrolling platformer, and it features several levels in three massive worlds.

"Our philosophy at Id is simple--we make games that we want to play,'' said Todd Hollenshead, CEO of Id Software. "Commander Keen is a perfect universe for the Game Boy Color and delivers straight-up fun for people of all ages.''

Commander Keen is being developed by David A. Palmer Productions and carries a suggested retail price of $29.99.
