Activision has revealed specific details on several of its upcoming Marvel-licensed products. Among the games announced are Spider-Man 2 Enter: Electro and X-Men: Mutant Academy 2 for the Sony PlayStation, and Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six and X-Men: Wolverine's Rage for the Nintendo Game Boy Color. As announced previously, the company will also release an enhanced version of the original Spider-Man game for the Sega Dreamcast this spring and Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace and X-Men: Reign of Apocalypse for the Game Boy Advance in the fall.
Spider-Man 2 Enter: Electro is probably the most notable of the PlayStation games confirmed today. Like the original, this sequel is in the action-adventure genre. However, this time around players will have all-new moves, such as new web attacks and fighting combos, at their disposal. New levels and training missions and new supervillians are also featured in the game. Spider-Man 2 Enter: Electro for the PlayStation will be released this fall. As reported previously, a PlayStation 2 version of the sequel is also in development.
X-Men: Reign of Apocalypse and Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace are two of several games the company has planned for the Game Boy Advance. It has already announced several GBA games under its most popular brands including Tony's Hawk's Pro Skater, Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX, Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder, and DOOM.
