Activision has announced Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 for the Game Boy Advance. The handheld version of the popular extreme sports game will be released alongside the June 11 launch of the GBA. The game will feature new level designs, and players can choose to play as Tony Hawk or one of 12 other pro skaters. The Game Boy Advance version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is one of six GBA games on Activision's release calendar. Other Activision games planned for the Nintendo handheld include Spider-Man and an X-Men game.

"Activision is enthusiastic about the upcoming launch of the Game Boy Advance," stated Ron Doornink, president and COO, Activision. "The new handheld represents a quantum leap forward in portable gaming with its increased graphics capabilities and improved features. Our strong development slate, coupled with the simultaneous US launch of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, has Activision poised to establish a leadership position on this new platform."

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 for the GBA is being developed by Vicarious Visions.
