Action Man Lands on the GBC
THQ brings the Action Man series to Nintendo's hand-held.
THQ continues to strengthen its Game Boy Color publishing effort by securing the rights to release Action Man for Nintendo's handheld. The company today announced the publishing agreement with Hasbro Interactive. The Japanese firm Natsume is developing the game.
"The Action Man product line has been wildly successful in Europe, and we expect its appeal to our target demographic to be just as successful in the US," said Tom Dusenberry, president and CEO of Hasbro Interactive. "THQ's expertise in the handheld arena will make Action Man for the Game Boy Color the perfect complement to our PC and PlayStation Action Man adventures."
THQ promises that the mission-based gameplay of Action Man will be a nice fit for the Game Boy Color audience. Action Man for the GBC will be released in the spring of 2001.
