ACL announces third round of Starcraft II regionals

ACL named primary partner of the Australian stage of the Blizzard World Championship Series; this round of regionals will be qualifiers for the nationals event to be held later this year.

The Australian Cyber League (ACL) will be partnering with the Blizzard World Championship Series for the third round of the Starcraft II regionals to be held around Australia in June.

First- and second-place winners from the ACL round of regionals will score a spot at the nationals event of the Starcraft II World Championship Series, which consists of tournaments held around the world.

Starting with national qualifiers, players will battle it out for a chance to prove they have what it takes to be the best in the country, and if successful, they will qualify for the Oceanic finals in their part of the world. Winners of the Oceanic finals will earn a place in the Starcraft II World Championship Series to compete for the title of World Champion.

ACL regionals are open-invite to compete for season points in each city, followed by the national events. ACL hosts four national events per year.
