The latest game in the series, Age of Wonders: Planetfall, actually releases in just a few weeks on August 6, so this is a good chance to give the series a try if you've never played it. The game earned a 7/10 in GameSpot's Age of Wonders III review for its enjoyable tactical combat, streamlined empire management, and balanced randomization.
