Acclaim Reduces Staff by 115
Acclaim Entertainment, publishers of the recently-released Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, announced today that it was eliminating 115 positions. The company also plans to consolidate administrative and operational functions, and reduce operating budgets in a restructuring move they hope will result in savings of about $40 million. In April, Acclaim reported a second-quarter loss of $16.8 million, compared with a $55.8 million loss for the same quarter in 1996.
