Acclaim announces soundtrack for Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2

Ozzy Osbourne, A Tribe Called Quest, and Rage Against the Machine headline the soundtrack for the first BMX game for the PS2, GameCube, and Xbox.

Acclaim unveiled the full soundtrack for Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 today, which features artists such as Rage Against the Machine, Black Sabbath, and Sublime. Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX will be released for the PlayStation 2 September 6 and will be released for both the GameCube and Xbox in the first week of November. The PlayStation 2 version of Dave Mirra 2 will include eight different levels while the GameCube and Xbox versions will include 10. In all three versions there will be over 1500 tricks to perform, 14 pro riders to choose from, and a park editor. Acclaim will support Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX 2 with a $4 million marketing campaign.

"Music plays an integral role throughout Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 and only complements the game's fluid and captivating next-generation graphics,'' said Steve Felsen, senior director of brand management. "We are thrilled to have assembled such a diverse array of artists, whose music will surely resonate among a broad spectrum of consumers."
