Last year's acclaimed found footage horror movie Host is getting a VHS release. The film, which was shot entirely on Zoom during lockdown, will be released on a limited edition tape on February 2.

The Host VHS release is being produced by the horror merchandise company Broke Horror Fan. It will be available in two variants--a standard edition that features art by Neil Fraser and a variant with art by Eileen Steinbach. Numbers for these tapes are extremely limited--there will be 75 copies of the standard version for sale and just 25 of the variant.

The tape goes on sale Tuesday, February 2, at 12 PM EST/9 AM PST and can be ordered at WitterEntertainment.com. The movie has been cropped to the 4:3 ratio to give it an authentic VHS look, and there will also be an exclusive making-of featurette at the end of the film. The release has been approved by Host director Rob Savage.

Host was released by Shudder in August, and it quickly became one of the year's most talked-about horror movies. GameSpot's Host review described the film as "an effective piece of horror filmmaking that uses an experience that so many of us have had over the past few months to chilling effect."
