Autumn Moon Entertainment and Bad Brain Entertainment today said that the two companies will no longer be collaborating on the upcoming adventure game A Vampyre Story. Bad Brain is a newly created publishing company headquartered in Germany; Autumn Moon is a California-based developer founded in 2002 by former LucasArts employees.

"We [regret] that Autumn Moon Entertainment and Bad Brain Entertainment will not finish A Vampyre Story side by side," said Bad Brain CEO Wolfgang Keirdorf in a statement. "But I am quite sure that the title is not going to disappoint fans when it [is eventually] released."

"This change in plans may have a hidden benefit as well," said Mike Kirchoff, director of business development and cofounder of Autumn Moon, in the statement. "We believe that this genre has a huge potential in [the] portable market... This change allows us the potential to explore this opportunity."
