50 Cent cashes in early

When you've been shot nine times and are one of the biggest recording artists in history, you don't have to play by the rules. Rapper 50 Cent and VU Games opted not to comply with 50 Cent: Bulletproof's issued release date, November 22, and decided to drop the action-oriented game today. Xbox and PlayStation 2 owners can now see what it's like to be 50 Cent...virtually, at least.

Bulletproof sees the former underground hip-hop star make his first mark on the gaming world as a man taking on crime families in New York City. With the help of his G Unit posse, Fiddy will acrobatically evade and deliver punishing countermoves on foes, or opt for the more traditional "pumping wack homies full of lead" with a full arsenal of firearms. Also featured in the game are 50's running mates, Dr. Dre and Eminem.

"This game is hot," said 50 Cent. "It's an exciting time for me and G Unit as we've gone from the music world into the virtual world, and I can't wait for my fans to join in on the action."

The game wouldn't be complete with some tracks from the man himself, and players can bob their heads to new and old songs from 50 Cent and the rest of the G Unit crew.
