Wii U game Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, the first instance of a Toad character getting its own game, will launch on December 5 for $40, Nintendo announced today.
The company also confirmed today that the game will support "select" amiibo figures in 2015. A Toad amiibo figure was not listed among the first two waves of toys launching this year. However, we did spot Toad earlier this summer in promotional materials for amiibo.
Treasure Tracker was announced during E3 in June. "Don't overlook Treasure Tracker just because Toad is an untested protagonist," we wrote back then about the game. "This is a unique adventure that tests your smarts rather than your dexterity, and is fun to boot."
