3DS price cut in Singapore

Gamers in Singapore waiting for the worldwide price cut on Nintendo's 3DS console to arrive on their shores can finally rejoice. According to a recent announcement from Maxsoft and Nintendo, the price drop has kicked in today. The local 3DS price is now S$249 ($205.18) in all Singapore retailers. The global price cut will occur on August 12.

Furthermore, Maxsoft said on its site that gamers who have purchased the handheld before August 10 can register their details and 3DS serial number at this link to participate in the local Ambassador Program. The full details for this program are unknown, but if it follows the same concept of the US program, gamers will be given free downloadable Game Boy Advance and NES titles.

On a related note, Nintendo announced previously that Super Mario 3D Land will be out in November, while Mario Kart 7 is slated for release in December. Check out GameSpot's preview of the two titles here and here.
