3DS-Focused Nintendo Direct Coming This Week

The next Nintendo Direct briefing will take place this coming Thursday, September 1, Nintendo has announced. This event will focus specifically on Nintendo 3DS games.

Nintendo will not show off or discuss the new NX console during the broadcast, Nintendo said. The event will be held at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET on September 1 and like always, you can watch it live online. Check back soon with GameSpot for more on streaming information.

There was no mention of the specific games Nintendo would talk about during the briefing or what news it may have to share. Some upcoming high-profile 3DS games include Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney -- Spirit of Justice (September 8), Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice (September 27), Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls/Bony Spirits (September 30), Mario Party Star Rush (November 4), and of course Pokemon Sun/Moon (November 18).

The announcement of this Nintendo Direct comes shortly after Nintendo announced a new, galaxy-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL that goes on sale this week.
