The 2016 presidential race is heating up, and Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch recently took to Twitter to show everyone what some of the Presidential candidates would look like as Pokemon.

Hirsch posted drawings of Bernie Sanders as Charmander, Donald Trump as Muk, Marco Rubio as Diglett, Hillary Clinton as Butterfree, and Ben Carson as Snorlax. He even gave some of them new names and Pokemon-like statistics.

The drawings inspired fans to create their own, including one of Ted Cruz and a Pokemon card of Hirsch's Bernie Charmander. You can check out more of Hirsch's original drawings and some of his fans' creations below.

In semi-related news, presidential hopeful Cruz revealed last year that he loves video games, specifically Candy Crush Saga and Plants vs. Zombies. And Duke Nukem voice actor Jon St. John recently said that he turned down a job for a leading GOP presidential candidate that could have been Trump or Cruz.
